The Hastle of Hostess Gifts
Tis the season for those great holiday parties. They are fun to attend, and the hosts went to a great deal of trouble to make it a memorable event for you. So, yes, it’s only polite to take the host a gift along to show how much you appreciate the invitation. But as you’re rushing out the door to get to that party, that’s when you remember that you don’t have a gift on hand – except for that old bottle of wine that’s been sitting on the shelf since you threw a party.
Hostess gifts don’t have to be a hastle. When you are putting together your Christmas list, add a couple of hostess gifts to that list. Even if you haven’t received an invitation, you’ll have something on hand without having to take an extra trip to the mall.
Some ideas for that list would include bar or wine accessories, such as wine stoppers, coasters, or bottle openers. Or you could go beyond bar and party and go for the pampering theme. Ideas would include scented soaps or candles. Every hostess could use a bit of rest and relaxation after throwing a party.
So don’t go to your next holiday party with the standard bottle of wine, or worse, nothing at all. Plan ahead and really show your hosts how much you appreciate their invitation.
